High-grade Manganese discovered by Buchans Minerals Corporation in New Brunswick, USA.

Buchans Minerals Corporation, the Canadian exploration company, who focus on developing their Base Metal properties and deposits in and around the famous Buchans Mining Camp, owns a 100% interest in the 5,800 hectare Woodstock Manganese Property in New Brunswick, USA.

Drilling at the western New Brunswick deposit has enabled them to discover presence of high-grade Manganese, sending its shares up by 50%. Industry sources report the results confirm excellent grade manganses and continuity across large widths in each of the three holes drilled, which are host to sediment-hosted-manganese and iron minerlisation. They believe this has the potential to become one of the largest undeveloped resources of Manganses in North America.

This is big news, with Manganese being the fourth largest traded Metal commodity behind Iron, Aluminum and Copper. However, despite Manganese having been declared a strategic Metal by the US government, it is yet to be recognised by the investment community as a strategic Metal with any growth potential. Furthermore, there are currently no mines producing Manganese in the rest of North America.
