Our Low Melting Point Products
William Rowland are specialists in the manufacture and delivery of fusible alloys. Fusible alloy is essentially a type of metal alloy which can be fused with ease due to their relatively low melting point, often below 183 degrees Celsius. They are typically eutectic alloys, meaning they also have a sharp melting point.
William Rowland Limited can supply fusible alloys around the world ensuring your metal alloy requirements are delivered to you safely and on time for a competitive price.
One fusible alloy we can deliver without delay is bend alloy, WR70. This is one of the group of Bismuth based alloys with a sharp melting point of 70°C, and can consequently be melted with hot water. Bend alloy is the most widely used fusible alloy in industry.
Our fusible alloys can be tailor-made to cater for your individual circumstances and requirements, so if you would like to discuss your requirements further just get in touch with our team.
Press alloy is one of the eutectics, i.e. it has a sharp melting point of 138°C and like the majority of bismuth based alloys it expands on solidification. This material is free flowing and its versatility makes it a unique tool in a great variety of industries. Its low melting point ensures easy and safe handling and under normal conditions it can be re-used almost indefinitely.
Press alloy is manufactured from virgin metals and is guaranteed to give complete satisfaction under normal working conditions.
William Rowland produces many different grades of quality casting alloy to suit the customer’s process and production requirements. We ensure that casting alloys are suitable for a range of techniques, such as centrifugal or gravity casting into rubber or silicon moulds. Whether you are a professional or hobbyist, we produce many grades that are safe and easy to work with using only the minimum of basic equipment.
