Elemental and Alloyed Metal Powders
Our powders are available in a range of weights, mesh sizes and chemical compositions. Particle sizes range from 0.5 micron up to 2mm and can be supplied in irregular, spherical or dendritic shapes.
All metal powders come with a full Certificate of Analysis, which can include Granulometry when required. Granulometry relates to the particle size distribution (PSD) of the powder as described in discrete ranges. For example, the percentage of sample that falls between 45 μm and 53 μm when these sieve sizes are used.

What are Elemental and Alloyed Powders used for?
William Rowland Elemental and Alloyed Metal Powders are supplied to exacting industry recognized standards for use in a wide variety of applications, including:
- Additive Manufacturing, also known as 3D printing or direct digital manufacturing. Components are manufactured by layering powders from a 3D CAD design. This means mass production and/or prototyping of components can be done in rapid time.
- Industrial Component Manufacturing for the Aerospace and Automotive sectors. Processes include Powder Metallurgy (PM), Metal Injection Moulding (MIM), Surface Coatings and Pressings.
- Architecture and Paints. Addition to resins and paints gives the material the appearance of solid metals, and is used in Cold Cast applications, Sculpture and Decorative Paints.
