William Rowland supply nickel powders made from a range of processes, including nickel powder made through the nickel carbonyl gas process. This process creates a nickel powder with much finer particles and can be used to enhance corrosion resistance and to increase the toughness of hard metals. We also supply Vale nickel powders and thermal spray powders.
Average particle size:
Vale nickel powders particle size ranges from 2.7 - 6.0 micron with a bulk density of 1.6 - 3.0 G/cm3
Qualities:
Vale nickel powders strengthen and toughen to improve fatigue strength by hardening heat-treated steels. Its uniformed dispersion provides a repeatable dimensional change of sintered parts.
Applications:
William Rowlands Vale nickel powder 123 is an industry standard nickel powder for powder metallurgy applications. Used in diamond tooling and densification of tungsten. Our Vale nickel powder 255 is an industry standard for the manufacture of sintered electrodes used in nickel battery production due to its controlled porosity. It is also used as a pigment to produce electrically conductive coatings and in some powder metallurgical applications.
