Thermal Spray Powders

Aluminium Oxide

Aluminum oxide is most commonly used for its hardness and strength.

It is widely used as a coarse or fine abrasive, as many types of sandpaper use aluminum oxide crystals. In addition to this, its low heat absorption makes it widely used in grinding operations, particularly cutoff tools.

Chromium Carbide

Chromium carbide is a hard ceramic material and is usually processed by sintering. It is a gray powder with a crystal type structure.

Chromium Oxide

Chromium oxide has considerable stability, which is why it is a widely used pigment. It is used in paints, inks and glasses.

Cobalt

The main consumption of cobalt is in the alloy's industry in the production of cobalt-based superalloy's. The temperature stability of cobalt allows the product to be used when making gas turbines and jet aircraft engines.

Magnesium Zirconate

Magnesium zirconate is used with other dielectric materials to obtain dielectric bodies with special electrical properties.

Tungsten Carbide

Tungsten carbide is known for it's hard properties and can be used in many industries such as sport where it is commonly used on hiking and skiing poles.

Zirconium Dioxide

Zirconium dioxide (ZrO2) has a monoclinic crystal structure at room temperature and transitions to tetragonal and cubic at increasing temperatures.
